Domestic violence campaigner Kirrily Dear stopped at Orange High School (OHS) on Monday night on her 1300km run from Broken Hill to Sydney.
Student Representative Council (SRC) co-ordinator at OHS Yelena Latter said it was a “really positive experience” to have Ms Dear stop and talk to the community.
“There was really positive support of the cause, and it was fantastic to have Kirrily speak to us despite being 13 days in despite her injuries,” she said.
She said the SRC, lead by James Cashen, had helped plan the event, while three students had relay run eight kilometres each with Ms Dear.
Lucy Johnston, Will Burdack and Mitch Cooper all ran along Cargo road on Monday.
