DATES

Each year the RAV Virtual Team Challenge starts at 12:01 am, on Friday 30 August and finishes at midnight on Tuesday 17 September, AEST.

Registrations for this year’s event will open Saturday, 6th July 2024 and close Sunday 1st September 2024.

PARTICIPATING

Participants walk or run using the Runkeeper app on their smartphone or Garmin watch to measure their distance. Each day the participant uploads their data to the event website.

The individual’s data is aggregated with other team members to get the total number of kms for the team.

The team icon moves across the map from Broken Hill to Sydney based on the team's km. The Challenge's goal is for team to complete the 1300km route within 19 days.

ENTRY TYPES

For participants who prefer to take a relaxed approach select the standard entry with no minimum distance required.

For participants who like to stretch there are extra challenges they can join.

Earn a silver medal by completing 130km within 19 days.

Earn a gold medal by completing 200km within 19 days.

Participant Wristband & Year Charm

Participant Wristband & Year Charm

Standard

Ideal if you’re a low-kilometre walker or runner. There is no minimum kilometre requirement. You can receive a RAV Wristband and Year Charm for participating.

Entry is $49AUD

Price includes processing fees and GST.

2022 Silver Medal, design changes each year

SILVER

Opt-in to the Silver entry and you’ll be chasing the target of 130km minimum during the Challenge. You only get the silver medallion when you achieve it. You can also receive the RAV Wristband and Year Charm.

Entry is $69AUD

Price includes processing fees and GST.

2022 Gold Medal, design changes each year

GOLD

If the glint of a gold medallion is catching your eye then you’ll have to opt-in and back yourself for a minimum of 200km during the Challenge. You can also receive the RAV Wristband and Year Charm.

Entry is $79AUD

Price includes processing fees and GST.

Note: We have a limited number of entries available for people experiencing financial hardship. Should you wish to participate in the RAV Virtual Team Challenge but can't afford to do so, please contact us and you may be able to access one of these entries.
